I LOVE COCO CHANEL!!!!

I LOVE COCO CHANEL, SHE IS A TRUE INSPIRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This woman has such an interesting story, building her life from nothing, with herself and her two sisters were abandoned at such a young age, they were left to fend for themselves in what’s sounds like a pretty hardcore convent. To then go on to create one of the most well respected fashion and beauty houses in the world!, where some of our most talented designers have kept her vision alive and truly inspirational to this day, it’s really quite incredible. I have to say this kind of strength really adds to a woman’s beauty…….
Chanel No 5 was the first beauty product launched in 1921 and next was No 22 in 1922. I love this image of Marilyn Monroe stating she is simple not dressed without it…
Make up and skincare soon followed in 1924. Still to this day, we feel totally spoilt pulling out our Chanel lipsticks, compacts and mascaras from our clutch bags!!! An incredibly luxurious range with pigments and textures to simply die for. I found it incredibly difficult to narrow down the product range to my top ten, it could have been more top 15 (true make up junkie stylie!), but basically, these are the firm residents in my kit, you will have seen some of them time and time again pop up in my posts and a few newbies….Enjoy
1. Vitalumiére Satin Smoothing Fluid…Incredible on most skin types, a stunning foundation with just the right luminosity, giving a wonderful satin finish.
2. Poudre Universelle Compacte…Perfect for touch ups through the day, so sheer and effective.
3. Soleil Tan De Chanel - Bronzing make up base…..This is a must have!!! An amazingly textured non greasy bronzer. Amazing for contouring too.
4. Soleil Tan De Chanel - 4 Facettes Bronzing Powder…Soooo pretty and great for a quick turn around…Love the coral for the true sunkissed look.
5. Inimitable Mascara. The perfect length, curl and volume, I always want one mascara that does all.
6. Le Crayon Yeux Brun… I have never found a better brown eyeliner, the perfect colour.
7. Le Vernis - Rouge Noir, Ballerina and Pirate are my favourite nail polishes…They are so incredibly wearable and last really well.
8. Ombres Perlées De Chanel…A new limited editon eyeshadow palette, the texture is creamy but still a powder, so easy to use with stunning effects.
9. Aqualumiére Gloss in bon bon…Delivers the perfect peachy pink glossy lip.
10. Démaquillant Yeux Intense. I feel, the best eye make up remover, gentle yet effective, even when getting those rock star smoky eyes off.
11. Les 4 Ombres in Lillium….I really love this new pallette, the colours are so flattering and proving quite a hit on the red carpet.
12. Pureté Idéale…Love this an amazing matifying fluid. Pop this on under your foundation and any excess oil is controlled through the day. Perfect for male grooming too.
Whilst putting this little post together, I found the most amazing book, “\”Coco Chanel: The legend and the life\”…It tells of her friendships with the likes of Picasso, Dali, Cocteau and Churchill, with stunning illustrations by Karl Lagerfeld. Karenxxx
